Going BEYOND!

Our church is getting ready to move up on the hill, and we're in the middle of a series from Pastor Joe called "Beyond". There's a prayer walk up the hill, and each family gets a flag to plant at the top of the hill. If you have read my blog at all, you know how involved we are, and how much we *adore* our church, so we are so happy to be a part of this! We took Regan (Riley was at a friend's and the youth group made their own trip up the hill) and we made our prayer walk and planted our flag at the top of the hill! We are so anxious to see what great and wonderful things God has in store for us as a family, and for our church family, in the next 2 years!

Main Event

It was a busy, busy day. Kenzie came over and we ran to Target and registered for the baby shower. That was too much fun! It's been a long time since I got to ooh and aww over little baby stuff! We got a little trigger happy, but it was a good time.

Then Riley had a boys club event for his school at Main Event. We had lunch at Double Dave's while he had his "boy time" but went back a little early so Regan could play some. She apparently didn't appreciate it like I thought she would.

Community Service

Riley's school always does a lot of community service projects. The project for this semester was to help out at the Capital Area Food Bank. Riley helped load frozen pizza into boxes to give out, and he got a thank you note from them saying they processed 8,424 pounds of food, which equals 6,793 meals! Way to go Pure Energy!

The Blizzard of '11

I know, I know, it's not that much snow, but for around here, it was awesome! The kids got a snow day. It fell overnight, so we woke up to a winter wonderland! It was so soft and powdery too. Riley took his skateboard with no wheels to a ditch to "snowboard" and they had snowball fights and made snow angels. It was cute. My kids always look like ragamuffins in snow pics cause we don't have warm enough clothes so they put on a bunch of warm things and end up looking like they got dressed in the dark!
